An experimentally validated model for predicting the tensile modulus of tubular biaxial and triaxial hybrid braids

Braiding is a versatile and cost-effective approach to generating various composite structures for mechanical, sports, biomedical engineering applications, which are different from each other. For example, stent braided structure blood penetration in it essential as much the right function. Predicting tensile responses prerequisite success of implementation structures, usually performed via destructive mechanical testing that might be costly and/or time-consuming. Therefore, provide model can accurately predict modulus. In this research, theoretical developed using simplification validated biaxial triaxial braids composed polyester, glass, basalt yarns on 16-carrier vertical braiding machine. Experimental results not only used validation but also show effectiveness axial yarn presence, hybridization, presence high-performance properties. A good correlation between values experimental observed approving high accuracy proposed model. This paper likely fill gap state art pertinent instrumental design hybrid-braided with minimum computational/experimental effort. The research innovation centers use two make simplicity start omit tests.
